Lec Hijoushiki (非情式レク) is one of the characters that has yet to make a formal debut in Deep-Sea Prisoner's creations. He is an archdemon and works as a doctor. He is also Roc's older brother and Satanick's 3rd subordinate.

Physical Description[]

Lec has raceless white skin and messy brownish-gray hair tied into a low braid with a red bow. His bangs cover his eyes. His eyes are the same red color as Roc's. ^[3] It was also stated that even though Lec's face is hidden by his hair, it is nearly identical to Roc's. ^[4] He wears a long double-breasted lab coat, black trousers with white pinstripes, and dark gray shoes; he also wears a doctor's headband with a silver crest instead of a mirror and black gloves. He also has two pointed tails like his brother.

Personality[]

Lec appears to be calmer than his brother Roc and is very knowledgeable working as a doctor. Though curing diseases and fixing injuries are his specialty, he prefers to cause them. ^[5] While he is entrusted with treating the sick, he mostly plays with them as he pleases. ^[6] He likes to dissect and experiment on angels and sell their organs. ^[6]

He uses the personal pronoun "boku" when referring to himself. ^[7]

Lec is also a cannibal; Deep-Sea Prisoner has stated he views injured angels, and possibly even demons, as meat and will eat them without much thought. ^[8] Lec would still be stronger than an angel that eats demon meat. ^[9]

Background[]

Lec was created by Satanick some time in the past. ^[10] Lec owns a hospital. ^[2] It is the same hospital shown in Obsolete Dream chapter 7. ^[11] Lec also has a large house due to his high rank of being an archdemon. ^[12] Not much is currently known about Lec's past.

Roc Hijoushiki[]

Roc is Lec's younger brother. Their relationship is that of comrades in arms, as they like to kill angels together. ^[8] In the mini-comic where the two are depicted together, Roc refers to Lec as "anija" (兄者) which is a very polite word for older brother.

Lec is also stated in his subordinate profile to be the only one who is able to stop a rampaging Roc, ^[5] even though Roc is stronger than him. ^[4] Upon once stopping Roc during a rampage, Lec ate him ^[4]; this can be seen in an older illustration of Lec tasting an unconscious Roc's organs. A later comic depicts Roc visiting and asking him to examine Lobco, to which Lec cheerfully obliges.

Licorice[]

Licorice and Lec have yet to be seen interacting. However, Satanick's subordinates - except for Envi - are sensible and will respond calmly when dealing with Licorice. ^[13]

Kizuzaki is a frequent patient at Lec's hospital. ^[2] Not much is currently known about their relationship.

Lobco[]

Lobco is an acquaintance of Lec's. The two met when Roc brought Lobco in to be examined by him in a mini-comic.

Natural Abilities[]

Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Being a demon, Lec Hijoushiki cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. ^[14] ^[15]
Regenerative Healing Factor - Being a demon, he is able to regenerate body parts, even guts and bones. ^[4]
Ambidexterity - He is naturally ambidextrous. ^[16]
Flight - He has six wings with which he can fly, although he usually chooses not to show them. ^[10]

Trivia[]

Lec's name is derived from Dr. Hannibal Lecter from the The Silence of the Lambs novel by Thomas Harris. ^[17]
- Lec's name also means "cruel method/ruthless style" (Kure (end) backwards) in Japanese. ^[18]
Roc and Lec have right and left motifs, respectively (Roc being right and Lec being left). In Japanese, a common method that is taught for learning right from left is that the kanji for both include a hand "holding" something. 右 Migi (Right) holds a mouth 口. 左 Hidari (left) holds a symbol that means craft or skill (工). With Roc, his right hand has a mouth on it as a play on words, whereas with Lec this may be referencing his talent as a doctor.
The symbol on Lec's headband closely resembles the first kanji (非) of his surname Hijoushiki (非情式). This same symbol is also shown on the front of Roc's police hat.
- "Hijoushiki" is the chosen name the brothers created for themselves. ^[19]
Since both Lec and Mikari Katagiri are cannibals, if the two were to meet, they would "hit it off." ^[20]
He has a genderbend which will be drawn sometime in the future. ^[21]
Despite the meat loving angel and him sharing an affinity for eating meat, the two will likely never meet. ^[22]
