Hofuru (ホフル), real name Yayoi, is a humanoid tanuki and a minor character in Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. She works under Totsusa Kingdom.

Appearance

Hofuru sprite
Hofuru wears traditional Japanese clothing, which includes a blue kimono, a white nagajuban (kimono undergarment), a dark blue hakama, black zori (footwear), and light violet tabi (socks). She has long dark gray hair cut into a Hime cut, with the ends being a lighter gray. Her tanuki ears are half light gray and half dark and the tip of her tail is light gray and the rest is dark gray. In her in-game appearance, her kimono was yagasuri pattern, and the thong of her footwear was a light gray.

Personality

Hofuru is very composed, not expressing her emotions oftenly.

According to her Wadanohara bio, she came from elsewhere, most likely to be Pitch Black World.

Artamos is Hofuru's master, while not seen together in any artworks, as of the 2017 10 21 update she is shown to have one-sided romantic feelings towards Artamos. They appear to have a friendly relationship.

  • According to the Wadanohara Bonus Room, her real name is Yayoi.
  • "Hofuru" roughly translates to "beating or killing a person"[1] (essentially slaughter) which fits with the theme of the Totsusa Kingdom.
    • In contrast, Yayoi, her real name, translates to "midnight." [2]
  • She is seen in the Pitch Black World.
