Appearance

Jiiya is a small light blue fish that sits atop of Uomihime's head.

Personality

In the large majority of Jiiya's appearances, they only spoke for Uomihime.

It can be said that Jiiya is one of Uomihime's most loyal servants, as they appear to have been around serving her prior to the war with the Sea of Death.

Background

Jiiya served Uomihime before the war, possibly even before she ascended the throne. They continued to serve her after the war as well.

Uomihime

Uomihime is Jiiya's princess. Jiiya speaks for her while she is asleep in the first part of the game. It seems that Jiiya is the most loyal or longest-standing of Uomihime's servants, as they has been with her prior to the war between Uomihime and her sister.

Trivia

  • As stated in the physical copy of volume one of the manga, their favourite colour is sea blue color. Their favourite food is the sea kingdom's specially made bitter tea. Their speciality is to be able to read Uomihime's mind.
  • In the English and Japanese version of Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, they are referred to as Jiiya for most of the events of the game. Jiiya means "retainer" or "old manservant" in Japanese, which fittingly describes Jiiya's position in the royal court of the Blue Sea Kingdom. There is only one occasion has he been referred to with something else; Mikotsuhime's fish servant calls them 魚綿守 (Uowatamori), which appears to be Jiiya's true name.[1].
