Jiiya (じいや) is a supporting character in Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. They are a servant of Uomihime, and often speak in place of her.

Jiiya is a small blue fish that sits atop of Uomihime's head.

In the large majority of Jiiya's appearances, they only spoke for Uomihime.

It can be said that Jiiya is one of Uomihime's most loyal servants, as they appear to have been around serving her prior to the war with the Sea of Death.

Jiiya served Uomihime before the war, possibly even before she ascended the throne. They continued to serve her after the war as well.

Wadanohara Cast

Uomihime is Jiiya's princess. Jiiya speaks for her while she is asleep in the first part of the game. It seems that Jiiya is the most loyal or longest-standing of Uomihime's servants, as they has been with her prior to the war between Uomihime and her sister.

Other Characters

  • As stated in the physical copy of volume one of the manga, their favourite colour is sea blue colour. Their favourite food is the sea kingdom's specially made bitter tea. Their speciality is to be able to read Uomihime's mind.
  • In the English and Japanese version of Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea, they are called Jiiya by everyone. Jiiya means "retainer" or "old manservant", which is fitting for their position. However, Jiiya is not their true name - Mikotsuhime's fish servant calls them 魚綿守, which would be romanized as Uowatamori. This is the only time in the game they are called anything other than Jiiya[1].
