Shikabone (シカボネ) is a character from Obsolete Dream. He is a shinigami and acquaintances with Satsukugi.
Physical Description[]
Shikabone takes the form of a classic reaper with a long flowing black hooded cloak, except it is adorned by a gray ribbon beneath his neck. He also has the head of a bleached deer skull, the antlers protruding from the top of his head. He is often portrayed with a large black bladed scythe also decorated with a gray ribbon. His hands are skeletal.
Personality[]
Shikabone appears to be somewhat timid or socially awkward as seen in chapter 6 of Obsolete Dream and seemingly gets bullied a lot. He is also a bit of a crybaby and does not seem to be much threatening despite his appearance. He uses the personal pronoun "ore" to refer to himself. [1]

Kurotsuno[]
Kurotsuno is an acquaintance of Shikabone. She consoled him once when she passed by in the forest, even though he was denying his reasons for being there. He also hid behind her shortly when Hanten appeared and taunted to bully him. Shikabone refers to her as "Kurotsuno-chan," and in turn she calls him "Shikabone-kun." [2]
Hanten[]
Hanten is Shikabone's bully and enjoys scaring him. The precise reason she bullies him is currently still unknown. Furthermore, there is an illustration depicting Shikabone stabbing Hanten's other form through the chest with his scythe; however, the details surrounding this incident have yet to be revealed.

Satsukugi's unrequited love for Shikabone.
Satsukugi is Shikabone's friend. She has a crush on him, which he does not reciprocate as shown in the 2017 10 21 Sunahama relationship chart update.
GriRea[]
GriRea is said to have some relation to Shikabone due to him being a shinigami, [3] though it has yet to be revealed what this relationship entails.

- Nigh-Absolute Immortality - Like most non-human characters in the Deep-Sea Universe, Shikabone cannot die from natural causes such as aging or disease. [4]
Trivia[]
- "Shikabone" translates to "deer bone," [5] as "shika" means deer in Japanese, and bone is an English word. This is a reference to his face, which is a deer's skull.
